Few days ago, I was walking in my colony when I saw this sight around me,
This is a street of my colony in the cleanest city of India and my hometown Indore.
You will not see a single peice of garbage.
Not only the streets, you will have to struggle hard to find even a single particle of garbage on the main roads or streets in the colonies of Indore.
I work in Mumbai, I have visited many cities of India, but whenever I come to Indore, a different experience awaits me when it comes to cleanliness.
7,8 years ago, there used to be so much garbage and dust in Indore that some of my friends used to jokingly call Indore as 'Dhullor'.
Indore has come a long way in 8 years, and the cleanliness just fascinates me.
The reason for this change?
You will see such machines cleaning dust off the roads every night. These are imported from Norway.
You don't have to go anywhere to throw the garbage, Garbage collection vehicle comes at your doorstep to collect the garbage.
You can see workers cleaning the roads and working hard 24*7. The workers work in 3 shifts so there is always someone to Clean the roads.
Municipal corporation officers from all over India come to Indore to learn waste management and cleanliness.
Our cleanliness is the identity of Indori people and we are very proud of it.
